Cabanas de Tavira Beach: a great, golden expanse

Right in front of Golden Club, across the lagoon, lies a 7 km-long beach of golden sand, wonderful for sunbathing, swimming or spending hours just wandering along.

Take our exclusive boat across the lagoon and walk to this practically deserted sandy expanse with its calm and temperate waters, contemplating the landscape and birdlife of Ria Formosa.

Here, low tide opens up a large play surface for people of all ages to walk, run, play football, rackets and build sandcastles.

For those who appreciate nature and prefer to stay away from the masses, we have one of the world’s best beaches.

Note: Due to our location amidst the Ria Formosa Nature Reserve, we cannot have bar or sanitation facilities on the beach. Should you wish, head along the coastal boardwalk to the other side of Cabanas where you catch another boat to a non-exclusive beach equipped with such facilities.
