Golden Club Cabanas Completes 3rd Charity Walk

Golden Club Cabanas and Golden Club Health & Fitness in Cabanas de Tavira held their 3rd Charity Walk on the 27th March.

This year, the third edition of the Charity Walk run by Golden Club Cabanas sought to raise funds for two charities in Tavira: the Red Cross Integrated Support Centre for Children “A Gaivota” and the ASLT – Adota Animal Shelter in Santa Luzia, Tavira.

The walk began at the Golden Club Health & Fitness centre at the resort in Tavira, covering 11km of flat trail to promote health and wellbeing, as well as raising funds for the local charities.

Sign-ups were free, and participants were only required to donate goods.

Around 40 people took part in the walk, which was run by the holiday hotel in the Algarve, collecting 93kg of food and clothes for the “A Gaivota” Support Centre and 92kg of cat and dog food for the Santa Luzia shelter, all of which was delivered to the charities on the 31st March.

In addition to these donations, Golden Club Cabanas also donated €350 to each of the charities.

We’d like to thank all participants of the walk, especially the ASLT – Adota Animal Shelter and the Portuguese Red Cross – Humanitarian Centre, for all the excellent work they do to support our community.
